Story of the signs…

The idea of the signs came from my oldest daughter as she was planning her graduation party. This was the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and her senior year was cut short and graduation was going to be a drive-through.

We decided an outdoor gathering would be safe and invited 10 of her closest friends. I decided to take her idea and run with it since I’ve been a woodworker my entire life.

The signs depict their chosen school’s logo and the distance and direction to that school from Lexington High School.

The added benefit of the sign was that each friend was able to sign the back and leave a little note for each friend. It was a really fun way to remember the party and one of the last times they would all be together.

The news of the signs quickly spread through the town and they were featured on the cover of the Colonial Times (a local newspaper magazine).

Since this original signpost, we’ve made numerous individual signs for friends and family. I recently began selling them and have had a really positive reaction.

This site is an effort to expand my reach to a larger audience.

Here is your chance to celebrate your graduate. The signs can be made for high schools, colleges, universities, and graduate schools. Just about anything.

Reach out if you want a single sign, several signs, or even your own signpost.

Thank you for joining us and learning about our story.
